The Christmas supper table gets its own palette: silver, white and green, cool enough to feel like snow and warmed only by candlelight. A cedar and eucalyptus garland runs the length of the table. At its center is a cluster of five of ivory pillars, with pinecones and silver glass tucked in around them.
A small lit birch in the corner is the only other light the room needs.
The Plan
- 1Cedar and eucalyptus garland. The full length of the table.
- 2Ivory pillar cluster. Five pillars, three heights.
- 3Pinecones and silver glass. Tucked into the garland around the pillars.
- 4Silver chargers, white plates. Six settings, grey linen napkins folded on top.
- 5Lit birch. A small pre-lit birch in the corner.

Designer's Notes
Installation
Run the garland first, then set the pillar cluster in the center, then fill. Flameless pillars let you build tight against the greenery.
Light
Pillars on their remote at the lowest flicker; overhead light off.
Budget
Tier I (Under $300): about $260 for everything on the list below at today's prices.
