A single color story makes a tree look expensive. Gold and ivory glass, warm white lights, nothing else. The tree stands in the corner of a pale room with tall windows, so in daylight it reads as a sculpture and at night as a lantern.
A woven collar replaces the skirt, and the gifts are wrapped in kraft paper and twine so they don't argue with the tree.
The Plan
- 1Pre-lit fir. 7.5 feet, warm white.
- 2Gold and ivory ornaments. Two boxes, hung deep and on the tips.
- 3Woven tree collar. In place of a skirt.
- 4Gifts in kraft paper. Twine, no ribbon.
- 5Fireplace. Garland on the mantel ties the room together.
