The foyer is the first room guests see and the one they spend the least time in, so it has to land in a glance. A slim walnut console gets a lit garland that falls off both ends. A tray of silver ornaments sits in the middle and a brass lamp stands at each end.
The gesture is the small wreath hung on the round mirror by a loop of green velvet ribbon. It is the one move people remember.
The Elevation

Designer's Notes
Installation
Loop the ribbon over the top of the mirror and secure it at the back with a removable hook. The wreath should hang about a third of the way down the glass.
Light
Lamps on, overhead off. The garland's lights should be warm white to match the lamps.
